Let’s face it, Radiohead could record their farts and loop them backwards with some reverb and the critics would still be creaming their skidmarked pants. They can do no wrong. They are officially ‘My Favourite Band In The World’ so I was particularly excited to see them in London.

The stage in Victoria Park was massive – it was more like a festival vibe and the capacity must have been 20-30,000 and this was the second night on the sell out UK leg of their world tour. They are also everyone else’s Favourite Band In The World.

Thome was looking punky in tight red jeans and a Bowie circa Aladdin Sane hair do – which was apt as on stage Mr Yorke looked like a Amanin Sane. The sound was great and live they are very faithful to their recordings, helped by top notch production.

The tour was on the back of In Rainbows but then it ascended into a greatest hits which was obviously what the band wanted. I heard on the night before it was more of their recent albums. I’m seeing them next in August at the Hollywood Bowl.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
